Modern Hydrogen is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Millwright to join the R&D team. This role requires a strong capability in precision assembly. The ideal candidate will have a mix of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and innovative environment.
This is an onsite position. The Millwright will be required to work onsite in our facility in Woodinville, WA 5 days per week and attend quarterly company events in the Seattle area. These events are geared towards fostering connections between colleagues, building a strong team, and having fun together.

Responsibilities:
Oversee and execute high-precision mechanical assemblies, ensuring adherence to stringent quality and specification standards.
Handle assemblies with extremely tight tolerances, ensuring components fit and function perfectly within specified limits.
Lead the construction, installation, and troubleshooting of gas panels and piping systems, ensuring integrity and performance.
Assemble and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems, ensuring proper function and reliability.
Interpret and work from complex technical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) to guide the assembly processes.
Engage in continuous improvement of assembly and fabrication processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
Maintain detailed technical documentation and communicate project status effectively with team members and stakeholders.
The travel requirement for this role is approximately 10%.

Skills and Experience:
5-7 years of experience in precision mechanical assembly, with a focus on tight tolerances.
Strong understanding and hands-on experience with precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, CMMs).
Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, including GD&T and P&IDs.
Demonstrated leadership in mechanical assembly projects, with the ability to work independently and solve problems with minimal oversight.
Experience with the construction and maintenance of gas panels and piping systems.
Proficient in precision alignment, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
Knowledge of safety protocols and industry standards related to high-spec mechanical systems.
Consistent with applicable federal, state, and local laws, the ability to pass a drug and alcohol test based on customer site requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant technical certifications in trades related to mechanical assembly.
Experience in an R&D or clean energy environment.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to new and varying projects.
Experience with tools and equipment used in gas panel construction, such as tube benders, pressure gauges, and leak detectors.
Experience assembling energy, chemical process, or hydrogen systems such as engines, fuel cells, electrolyzers, chemical process skids, etc.
Proficiency in using precision measurement tools.
Experience in the aerospace, defense, or high-tech manufacturing industries.
Proficiency in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or other CAD software
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint), as well as chat and teleconferencing applications (e.g. Teams, Slack)

Pay range is $30.00 - $50.00 per hour.
